The beach is a nice way to spend a morning or afternoon, there is activity, people, the water is warm plus it's possible to buy food and drinks during the day so you don't have to go home to eat.

If you like it quiet, an early morning swim is great, the beach does not have much going on early in the morning, combined with perfect outside air temperatures of about 77˚F or 25˚C, and that's not bad for the middle of winter. You can watch the world wake up from the warm water. At about 7:00 am I have seen a large group of people doing aerobics on the beach. By 8:00 am the cafes and restaurants are open for breakfast along with some great coffee.

There is also one of the coasts few lifeguard stations located on the beach.
