A few controversiesDue to his fame he has on more than one occasion met controversy for his stands and his statements, from his peace concert in Cuba while living in Miami and receiving threats to his insulting the President of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, his song "The Black Shirt" was used by Italian neo-fascists with reference to Mussolini's "black shirt" party. His latest statement is that he is going to stay away from politics on Twitter. Some notable achievements - Established the Mi Sangre (My Blood) Foundation in 2006 which is a non profit organization dedicated to helping child victims of land mines. Colombia has among the highest number of land mines in the world. and recently held a concert in Cuba for this cause.
