Santa Marta will fill your food basket with fresh fruits and vegetables all year and harvest is throughout the year, this is tropical living at it's best. Most places in the world have a finite growing season, but local weather ensures fresh food is always in season.

The food grown in this area is not genetically modified, it's old school and that's always good to know, why take a chance eating someones science experiment, isn't that just for lab animals? South America is different, natural is always better, food is grown here, not built. Local weather and a variety of elevations allow a range of food production from tropical to temperate and the food grows just fine without the help of a nutty scientist.

Local weather allows fruit and vegetable stand to be here all year.

To vary our subject a bit, it's always nice to have a drink on a sunny afternoon in the middle of the summer when it's hot out, the problem is it's like that all year here with 2800 hours of sunshine, you have to fly all the way north to Miami, Florida to cool down. Actually, you can save the flight money, find a shaded table and have a low cost drink, beer, whiskey or wine. Beer costs about $1.15 US from a vendor on the beach. Many places in other countries charge over $5.00 for beer even though the big beer companies buy all their hops, malt and barley at world prices, so why is the price different from there to here so great, who knows, maybe their high priced accountant made an adding mistake. It's an old process, not all that complicated, all they do is mix it all together and wait, I'm sure the modern beer companies wait about 15 minutes for their quality Signature Brews before they bottle it.
